World of Dogs
Whether you are a dog owner or just a dog lover there is something for everyone!

The first hounds used for hunting otters in the 13th century were probably based on the St. Hubert hound, the ancester of the modern bloodhound.
There are only around 300 otterhounds in the UK, so this is a real treat to find out more about this ancient British Breed, courtesy of Teckelgarth Kennel, near Hereford.
Get ready for four-legged fun in the Dog Agility Arena! Watch energetic dogs tackle jumps, tunnels, and weave poles, or even have a go yourself with your own canine companion. It’s fast, fun, and guaranteed to get tails wagging!
We will be running a variety of events where dog owners can put their pets or working dogs to the test.
For working dogs there are four Scurry disciplines as well as the prestigious Queen Anne Cup which will be run over the four scurry layouts and will be awarded to the dog with the fastest combined time over all four disciplines run back-to-back. The Cup will run over both days. The winner will receive the perpetual trophy and a rosette.
The Working Clumber spaniel society (WCSS) was established nearly 40 years ago the revive the working ability of one of the oldest breeds of spaniel. At the Cotswold show you will be able to meet our working Clumbers at our stand and talk to our enthusiastic members about this fantastic minority breed spaniel. We will also be presenting two gundog demos in the Apsley ring so you can see Clumbers in action.
Terrier racing is not one to be missed! This thrilling event allows Terrier owners to enter their dog into an exciting race to chase the lure! A course will be decided on on the day with heats of 4 dogs at a time. The winners will then progress to the final in the afternoon.
Although this is a race for terriers it is a spectacular event for all spectators. After the terrier racing the event will be open for any dogs.
Will your dog stay on course?!
The Nuneaton Dog Training Club was established in 1959. The club offers various aspects of training. The Demonstration team is today representing the Pet Obedience side of the club,
Gloria Bonnell is the team leader and has successfully headed up the team for coming up 15 years. Gloria has put together an interesting display, to music, showing what can be achieved by training your dog, the fun which can be had and how to own a well behaved social acceptable dog.
So come watch the display and meet the Dogs and Handlers.

As one of the most popular dog displays in the country, the Dog and Duck Show team work extremely hard to educate the public about dog behaviour in a fun and enjoyable way for both the animals and owners. By using energy and body language, we show the audience how we control our sheep dogs at different stages of their training, while demonstrating simple techniques to help with common dog behaviour issues.
The Dog and Duck Show display is divided into 3 parts. Part One. Dog psychology. Helping to understand why our dogs have unwanted dog problems and how to solve them. Part Two. Natural Instincts. The team uses sheep dogs, at different stages of training, with our Indian Runner ducks, to demonstrate their natural canine instincts. The dogs are controlled by using their natural language (energy and body language), and then we show how we train them on to their commands. Part Three: Dogs in Action. Our Collie dogs put the ducks through their course of tunnels, slides, maltese cross, pool and pen, which always leaves the crowd in awe of our working dogs.
The dogs and ducks live happily side by side at our home base. This closeness provides a natural protection against predators for the ducks, which allows them to be free range 24/7 in their area, as well as desensitizing the animals to each other.
